Step 1 - Selection of raw materials

Step 4 - Sew
In the next step in the production of the Aurland shoe, the various parts must be sewn together. There are several different sewing machines that are used to sew different parts of the Aurland shoe.
When all the parts are sewn together, the finished result is called "needling". Needlework refers to the shoe that has been sewn together but is not yet shaped and lacks a sole.
Step 5 - Shaping and tire sole
In the next stage of production, the shoe is shaped and put on a tire sole. This is carried out in a special room called the "stick room", where there are various machines for attaching the sole to the splint.
Step 6 - Sole
In the gluing room, the sole is glued to the shoe. Before gluing, the shoe is sanded to give a smooth surface. Then machines are used to sew the sole on the Buxton model and heat the glue for the Wangen model. Finally, the sole is pressed onto the shoe with air pressure for a solid and even fit.
