Join us for a detailed step-by-step exploration of how our Aurland shoes are made. Step 1 - Selection of raw materials Our production begins with a careful selection of first-class raw materials. The leather used for the production of the Aurland shoes comes from Sepizi, and is of the highest quality. Our skilled shoemakers select different parts of the leather pieces adapted to different parts of the Aurland shoes and our other products. The skin on the back is known to be more rigid and refined compared to the skin on the belly, which is often softer. The remaining leather that is not used for shoe production is used to make other products such as make-up bags, accessories and belts....

Aurland's Fjong and Mini Fjong totebags are the new members of our "totebag family". The bags are made of high-quality leather, with a zip closure. The bags also have a small pocket on the inside where there is room for both keys and a phone. The Fjong models come in two sizes, hence the names Fjong and Mini Fjong. Both models have many practical details and both come with an adjustable shoulder strap. Aurland's Fjong is 30 cm high and 40 cm wide. In Aurland's shoe factory, all production of Aurland's products takes place, and here we also have one of our two outlets. Our second store Aurlands Outlet is located in Flåm, a short drive from Aurland. If you want to learn about the craft tradition and history of Aurlandskoen "The Original Penny Loafer", you can book a guided tour of our factory.
